CULTURAL CORNUCOPIA

Earth is but one country and Mankind its citizens.”

St. Mark’s family has a vision to provide holistic education that encompasses knowledge, values, confidence and above all metamorphose its students into citizens having a heart full of love for humanity and a desire to serve the society. In short- ready to face the world in the 21st century. As part of this preparation, students of our Primary Section presented a medley of dances and festivals celebrated across the world - the Cultural Cornucopia. Students were provided a platform to express freely outside the confines of the syllabus. Little ones of classes I and II portrayed Folk Dances of the World the famous Paso Doble of Spain, Tarantella of Italy, Sau Sau Bafona of Chile, Bucheachum of Korea and many more. Apart from dances, students of Classes III, IV and V also showcased the most celebrated festivals of the world - May Day, Inti Raymi, Chinese New Year, Day of the Dead, Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras and the colourful Indian festival - Holi. Cultural Cornucopia was truly an amalgamation of Music, Dance, Festivity and Culture which was highly appreciated by members of the Managing Committee and the parents. Our Director, Ms. Anjali Aggarwal while delivering her keynote address after the performance applauded the efforts put in by the little ones and also mentioned that it had also facilitated the participants as well as the audience to enrich their knowledge on hitherto unknown cultures from across the Globe.

  1. FGMF: Fredericia Gymnasium Musik Festival

We are standing here at the preperations for the Fredericia Gymnasium Musik Festival (FGMF). It is a tradition at our school to have this festival, where the love for music is apreciated. Professional musicians aswell as amateurs are going to play on the stage, in front of the students. Some of th amateur musicians are from the school and some are not. The whole festival is organized by the school organization, with the same name. The school sells food and drinks for a reasonable price which you can buy if you dessire. It’s an event a lot of the students look forward to every year. Students aswell as parents and friends are allowed.
